  • 21st & 22nd April 2026 - Preliminary Meeting & First Hearings: Opening hearings before the Planning Inspectorate Examining Authority.
  • 1st May 2026 - Main Written Representations and Local Impact Reports submitted.
  • 12th June 2026 - Responses to the ExA’s First Written Questions.
  • 2nd October 2026 - Final submissions and closing statements.
  • 21st

The Preliminary Meeting is in the morning and the Open Floor Meeting is in the afternoon at which members of the public who have registered will be speaking for 3 minutes. 


Public attendance at hearings is a normal part of the process and helps ensure that local interest in the project is clearly visible.

The Planning Inspectorate teams will visit the site on a number of occasions during the Examination Stage (through to approx. the end of September 2026). Having the placards in place shows the strength of our objection.

  • Private Property: With permission from the landowner, you can display your placard on private land, like a shop window or a fence.
  • Community and shop noticeboards: Many communities have designated noticeboards for public announcements.
  • Online platforms: Social media and community websites can be effective ways to spread our message. Please do like, comment and share our posts on facebook and instagram.

  • Council Land: This includes lampposts, public buildings, and parks. Council land is generally for public use and fly-posting is prohibited.
  • Telegraph Poles & Road Signs: These are essential for safety and communication. Attaching placards to them can be dangerous and obscure important information.
