The Planning Inspectorate teams will visit the site multiple times during the Examination Stage (through to approximately the end of September 2026). The presence of the placards highlights our community involvement and demonstrates the strength of our objection in the local campaigns, such as Stop Lime Down.
Private Property: With permission from the landowner, you can display your placard on private land, such as a shop window or a fence. Additionally, community and shop noticeboards serve as excellent venues for promoting local campaigns and fostering community involvement. Online platforms like social media and community websites are also effective for spreading our message. Please like, comment, and share our posts on Facebook and Instagram to help us in the fight to Stop Lime Down.
Council Land: This encompasses lampposts, public buildings, and parks, all of which promote community involvement. Council land is generally meant for public use, and fly-posting is prohibited to ensure these spaces remain accessible for local campaigns. Telegraph Poles & Road Signs: These are vital for safety and communication. Attaching placards to them can obscure important information and pose dangers, which is why initiatives like Stop Lime Down advocate for maintaining clear and safe public spaces.
Always be courteous and obtain permission from the landowner before placing your placard on private property, especially when promoting local campaigns like Stop Lime Down. Fly-posting on unauthorized surfaces can lead to fines and prosecution, so ensure your community involvement is both respectful and legal.
We want to inform the community about the Stop Lime Down Campaign while ensuring we adhere to local campaigns and legal guidelines.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure your message about community involvement resonates with the right audience through local campaigns, all while avoiding any inconvenience or safety hazards associated with the Stop Lime Down initiative.
