Lime Down Solar Park

Lime Down Solar Park is a 3,000 acre industrial facility proposed by Island Green Power, a Bermuda- registered company 100% owned by Australian venture capital group Macquarie.

The development includes:

  • thousands of solar panels, towering 4.5 metres (13.5ft) high;

  • 42 acres dedicated to battery storage containers, inverters, and substations;

  • all enclosed by 3-metre fencing with CCTV surveillance;

  • a 20km cable route to the national grid, tunnelling under the M4 and railway line causing further disruption to landowners and villages along its path.

This isn’t about clean energy – it’s about turning our countryside into a commodity. The profits will flow offshore while we are left with the consequences.

Why it is important that you have your say NOW

Our barrister, Dan Koselko, explains why this stage is so important and what happens next.
