Art Sale - if you wish to buy a piece

Buying a piece:

Purchasing Artwork Online from 11pm on 3 October after the Preview Evening. 

We are delighted to offer online sales for our exhibition. To ensure a smooth and secure process for both you and our artists, please follow these steps.


The Process:

  • Step 1: Check Availability
    Found a piece you love? Please first check that it is not already marked 'SOLD'. Then, contact us at info@stoplimedown.com or 07375306881 to express your interest. Let us know the Artwork Title and the Artist's Name.
  • Step 2: Reserve Your Piece
    We will promptly check the availability of the artwork. If it is still for sale, we will email you to confirm and reserve it exclusively for you for a limited period.
  • Step 3: Secure Your Purchase
    To complete your purchase, please make a bank transfer for the full amount using the details provided. It is essential that you email us to confirm once the transfer has been sent.
  • Step 4: Collection/Delivery
    Upon confirmation of funds, we will mark the piece as SOLD at the exhibition. We will then contact you to arrange collection or delivery options.

If a painting is Sold but you would be interested in contacting the Artist to see more of their work or to commission a new piece, please let us know and we will put you in touch. 

Would you like to join our 1,000 club !

By setting up a monthly standing order, you’ll contribute to the legal, expert, and campaign costs needed to protect our community.


We aim to gather 1,000 supporters who each give what they can. Together, we could raise:


  • £10 to £20 a month = £120,000 to £240,000 annually
  • £180,000 to £360,000 over three years

The 1,000 Club shows the power of collective action—together, we can make a real impact.


How to join the 1,000 club?

- set up a standing order directly via your banking app

- or if preferred print off and sign the Standing Order Mandate Form (see below)

- or send a cheque for an annual subscription. Please make payable to SLD Wiltshire and post to SLD, Syms Building Bumpers Way, Bumpers Farm, Chippenham, England, SN14 6LH.


Once you’ve set up your standing order, please email finances@stoplimedown.com to let us know. 


You are welcome also to collect a Stop Lime Down sticker for your car.

Art Competition Terms & Conditions


1. Eligibility

  • Open to adults (18+) only. 
  • Entries must be original artwork created by the submitter.

2. Submission Guidelines

  • Artwork could depict landscapes or farmland.  Artists are free to depict these as they wish. 
  • Acceptable mediums: Paintings, drawings, digital art, photography, clay, mixed media (specify if others are allowed).
  • Physical artwork must be ready to display 
  • Canvases: Framing optional—eye hooks & string are sufficient (hung on nails).
  • Paper/board works: Must be mounted, backed, and framed for hanging.
    Please attach eye hooks & string before delivery
  • Deadline for entries: 15 September for local exhibition. Late submissions may not be considered.

3. Exhibition

  • Selection for display will be at the organisers’ sole discretion.
  • Criteria may include: creativity, relevance to theme, technical skill, and emotional impact.

         (Optional but Welcome):

  • Quote or anecdote (about the countryside/farming/impact of LDS on the area) to send in by 15 September.
  • Personal introduction to your artwork(s) by 15 September (displayed alongside pieces).
  • Titles of each piece by 15 September (for uniform labelling).

4. Rights & Permissions

  • By exhibiting, participants grant SLD Wiltshire the non-exclusive right to:
    • Display the artwork in exhibitions, online, or in promotional materials.
    • Use the artist’s name, age, and description for publicity.
  • Artists retain copyright but agree to credited usage (unless sold/donated).
  • Artist's decision if prints/postcards are made of their art work to sell for the campaign. 
  • If artwork is sold, terms (donation/commission split) will follow the submitter’s preference (as indicated in the submission form).

5. Liability

  • SLD Wiltshire ltd.  is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected entries.
  • Physical artwork (if applicable) must be collected if not sold after the exhibition by 6 October 2025; unclaimed work may be disposed of.
  • Artwork must be insured by the artist. 


6. General

  • Submission implies acceptance of these terms.
  • SLD Wiltshire Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition.
