Thank you for joining our conversations and efforts to stop the development of Lime Down Solar Park. We all agree that despite the obvious benefits of using green energy, a development of this size is bound to have far-reaching negative ramifications for the countryside we love and the farming communities which support rural life.
We have a superb team as well as a legal firm who are dedicated and determined to fight these proposals.
There's no question about it, everyone's help is going to be invaluable for this fight.
Action for now:
- Express your objection to your MP and councillors
We are raising funds to support the campaign costs, such as printing and legal costs and can provide you with details of governance around this. All those helping with the campaign are giving their time and expertise at their own expense to support the campaign. Fund raising details can be found below.
In the meantime, if you haven't already let us know, please could you tell us how you think you may be able to contribute to the campaign, the time you are able to dedicate to helping and whether you are able to travel. This can be anything from leaflet dropping and putting to research and expert advice.
Registering your support also means that when the time comes to send in formal objections, we can call upon you for your help and let you know what action is needed.
Details on how to register your support can be found here: https://stoplimedown.com/contact-details or click on the photo above.

Lime Down Solar Park has scant regard for the potential disruption and harm this profit-making development is likely to have on the local area. We will lose our open countryside
We want to make sure that all residents in the local villages are kept informed and we are determined to challenge it.

To stand the best chance of defeating Island Green Power / Macquarie’s plans for Lime Down Solar industrial park, we will require the expertise of specialists to identify and submit the relevant legal and material planning considerations during the Examination phase with the Planning Inspectorate.
All those working on the committee are providing their time and expertise pro bono. After budgeting and mapping out the next phases of due process - it is clear we need to raise significant funds to ensure this process happens effectively.
